South Derbyshire District Council identified a requirement for a new vehicle maintenance facility for their fleet of
gritting vehicles, refuse collection vehicles and road sweepers.
The brief was to provide a facility with two service bays for HGV’s, with MOT facilities, a MOT bay for LGV’s and taxi’s, overnight vehicle parking, office accommodation, refuelling facilities and an enclosed area for salt storage.
Solution:Positive were appointed under Performance Duties to develop the specification for the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Building Services installations and new incoming utility services to the facility.
The appointment included a review of the M&E Contractors detailed design proposals and submittals and a monitoring role during the construction phase.
