Joint Clients: Fisher Europa Ltd & Manor House Collection
Architect: Beckwith Design Associates
Set in the sought-after residential area of Roundhay in Leeds, the redevelopment of this period Victorian residence has converted a derelict building into five prestigious apartments.
Solution:Positive was appointed under Performance Duties as Building Services and Utility Consultants to the project with a monitoring role on behalf of the Client, during the Construction Phase. VRF heating & cooling and whole house mechanical ventilation systems, with heat recovery(MVHR) were installed to each apartment.
Key challenge: The Client brief was for the living areas to be “flooded” with natural light, with generous open-plan living rooms and wide-opening glazed screen doors to the balconies, drawing the eye to the uninterrupted views of the landscaped gardens. To meet the requirements of the brief and achieve compliance with Building Regulations, domestic sprinkler systems were installed to the apartments.
